After leaving the Middleton residence, Emelie went straight to Capebatt University in a taxi. Meanwhile, she searched for more information on artificial hearts on the Internet.

However, Samuel denied it. It was the end of the semester.
Other than his job as a lecturer, he had to work on his research and couldn’t be at two places at once.
He said that if she didn’t believe him, she could try working for two days.
Emelie tried to work for two days and finally believed that he really needed an

“I’m here to thank you for your help for the past two months, Mr. Swanson. Now that everything is over, let me buy you dinner tonight.”
Upon seeing how she was avoiding him, Samuel raised an eyebrow. He didn’t get closer to her again and stood up instead
“I can’t make it tonight, so let’s take a rain check I’m meeting an investor tonight.”
Since Samuel was doing research, he needed an investor to support him uncially.
Naturally, Emelie agreed to it.
They left the university that afternoon to attend to some matters. When they were returning to the campus, they saw a bookshop.
Samuel remembered that he wanted to get a few books, so he went in to look for them
The shop was next to the street, and it looked quaint and elegant. It was a peaceful oasis among the busy area.
Emelie browsed the store casually and saw a book on artificial hearts in the medical section. So, she picked it up to have a look

Meanwhile, the man was there to see a friend. His friend had just left, and he was the only one at the table.

However, William ignored him and left through the aisle next to Emelle and Samuel.

William exited the store and got in the car. The driver, Abel Hart, could clearly tell that William was in his usual mood that day.
Emelie and Samuel each paid for their books.
As they left the building, Samuel said after pondering, “You don’t have to join my dinner with the investor tonight.”
“Why?” Emelie was his teaching assistant, and her main job was to help him prepare for the research Samuel helplessly said, “Haven’t you noticed? The investor for the research is Cloudex Corporation.”
