When She Left Chapter 112

Chapter 112: Right, Girlfriend?

Chapter 112 Right, Girlfriend?

Beg him? Only if my head got slammed in a door!

I let go of Jerry’s hand and, without caring if Christopher and Cecil would see, turned and walked out.

Suddenly, everything went dark as a long men’s coat was thrown over my head. I was pulled back and pinned against

the railing, out of Christopher and Cecil’s sight.

The scent of fresh mint lingered at my nose…

It suited Jerry quite well.

Christopher’s footsteps seemed to pause, and then I heard Jerry’s rebellious voice. “Mr. Valence, are you really that interested in the private matters of young couples?”

Christopher seemed to be scrutinizing us, his voice deep and slow. “Your girlfriend’s shoes look a lot like a pair my wife

has.”

a

I felt a pang of anxiety.

These were limited edition shoes from a certain brand, with only a few in Jacquar

Even though I hadn’t overheard any secrets and could have walked away openly, Jerry’s actions made me feel like I was

guilty of something

I didn’t dare move an inch.

jerry chuckled provocatively, “Look like? Mr. Valence, it seems you don’t care much for your current wife if you’re so unsure about her personal belongings. Maybe you should just divorce her and fulfill Kimberly Harris’s wish.”

Christopher’s voice turned icy, with a hint of menace. “If you’re so concerned about Kimberly Harris, why don’t your marry her?”

Jerry immediately refused, his tone ambiguous. “I wouldn’t be able to handle her. I’m happy with my girlfriend.”

Then, he patted my head through the coat. “Right, honey?”

It’s like giving him an inch, and he took a mile.

I suddenly lifted my leg and stomped hard on Jerry’s foot!

Christopher sneered, “It seems your relationship isn’t that great either.”

Jerry replied calmly, “It’s fine. She’s just throwing a little tantrum. At least we won’t get married and then talk about divorce.”

Chapter 112: Right, Girlfriend?

He didn’t hold back at all.

To my surprise, Christopher didn’t react angrily. He simply said in a cold, low voice, “Mr. Hammer, if you could manage your stepsister better, I wouldn’t be getting a divorce.”

With that, he walked away without waiting for Jerry to respond.

Cecil lingered for a few more seconds before also walking away.

Once their footsteps had completely faded, I yanked the coat off my head and realized just how intimate my position with Jerry was.

I was leaning against the railing, with one of Jerry’s hands in a hidden spot behind my back, giving the impression he was holding me. His other hand was on the other side, effectively trapping me.

Meeting my gaze, Jerry remained unruffled and even started to comment, “Christopher isn’t the right guy for a girl like

you.

His calm demeanor made me start to doubt whether the online incident was really Jerry’s doing.

I threw the coat back at Jerry, annoyed. “You’ve only met me a few times. How do you know what kind of person I am?*

Jerry raised an eyebrow, saying, “You’re the kind of person I can see through at a glance. How many times do I need to

meet you?”

I sneered, “Then tell me, what kind of person suits me?”

Jerry whispered, “If you want to know, show me the money.”

I said frankly, “There’s a bank downstairs. You might as well rob it. The incident last night that’s causing a stir online, do you have anything to do with it?”

To my surprise, Jerry was very straightforward and nodded without hesitation. “Yes.”

Jerry didn’t seem to think there was anything wrong with what he did.

It seemed like the person who agreed so readily yesterday wasn’t Jerry.

I felt both annoyed and speechless. “Didn’t you promise me you wouldn’t let anyone else know for now?”

Jerry frowned. “I promised you I wouldn’t let anyone know you were spying and recording a video.”

Fine.

So technically, Jerry wasn’t wrong. It was my fault for not being clear.

I asked, “Do you have a grudge against the Valence family?”

Jerry looked at me, puzzled. “No. Can’t you see it’s a ruthless business war? Haven’t you learned anything from being. by Christopher’s side for three years?”

Chapter 112: Right, Girlfriend?

I was taken aback,

Both by Jerry’s frightening straight forwardness and by his second question.

I clenched my fists and replied just as straightforwardly, “No.”

I thought about what I had learned from being with Christopher for three years independence, tolerance, patience, and sacrifice.

Christopher and I had always been polite to each other, without unnecessary communication. He never talked to me about business.

This time, it was Jerry’s turn to be taken aback. He raised an intrigued eyebrow. “You’re quite an interesting person.”

I said with a half–smile, “Aren’t you interesting too? Playing business games with Christopher while telling his wife.

What’s your angle?”

Jerry straightened the coat in his hands and draped it over his arm. “If I’m not mistaken, our goals in this matter should be aligned.”

I almost laughed in anger. “What? You ruined my plans, you know that?”

He retorted, “I ruined your plans?”

“If you had waited just a few more minutes to spill the beans, I would have divorce smoothly.”

Jerry frowned. “Aren’t you and Christopher divorcing because of Evelyn Valence? Didn’t I help you by doing this?”

I was once again at a loss for words. “I want a divorce. I don’t need your help. I just need the divorce.”

Jerry leaned against the railing, arms crossed, a hint of surprise in his eyes. “You really want a divorce?”

“Yes, absolutely,” I answered without hesitation.

From the moment I lost the baby, there was no possibility left between Christopher and me.

The help and care Christopher gave me in college were negated by the debt he owed me over the past three years.

We owed each other nothing, and divorce was the only path left.

But I wasn’t surprised that others wouldn’t believe I genuinely wanted a divorce.

After all, someone like me, with no parents and no background, marrying into the Valence family was already incredibly lucky. How could I willingly divorce and give up such a promising future?

Jerry listened and lazily said, “Then you’ll get what you want.”

I uttered, “What?”

Jerry glanced at me and said leisurely, “With Kimberly Harris wants to marry Christopher, it’s only a matter of time

before you become the ex–wife.”

He was blunt.

I mocked, “Thanks.”

I thought of Christopher’s wariness toward Jerry carlier and couldn’t help but be curious. “And you? Who are you?”

From Jerry’s words, I could tell that Kimberly wasn’t from Jacquar.

Combining that with Christopher and Cecil’s conversation, it was clear the Harris family wasn’t simple, possibly even more powerful than the Valence family.

And Jerry and Kimberly, being familiar with each other, likely came from similar backgrounds.

Jerry stood up straight, one hand in his pocket, his eyes playful. “Trying to find out about me? That also requires a fee.”
