Tom had mortgaged the villa to the bank and gotten a loan to hold this grand banquet. He had also invited- many journalists to flaunt the Kane family’s glory and attract potential business partners. But now, everything was messed up!
The journalists didn’t care if the Kane family was embarrassed. They happily aimed their cameras at the exam papers on the bulletin boards and snapped away.
One journalist remarked, “Haha! I thought today’s news was just run of the mill, but we have something to write about now.”

“This also involves the Creed family, one of the four influential families. This news will definitely trend online. Our KPI for this month is secured,” a journalist added.

Tom felt his vision darken as he listened to their callous remarks. It’s over!The Kane family is done for!
He was pleasantly surprised yesterday when he discovered Meredith had scored full marks on the exam, but he deeply regretted it now.
Meredith had cheated and plagiarized! And she was being exposed in public!
Being humiliated was no longer his primary concern. Kane Residence’s villa had been mortgaged to the bank, and they had even offended the Creed family!

Meredith heard someone calling her. She saw a crowd gathering but couldn’t be bothered to pay them attention. Meredith was about to make a detour, but Myra wouldn’t let her walk away. She ran over to grab Meredith. “The exam paper where you cheated has been exposed!”
Cheating? Meredith’s refined brows furrowed slightly. She didn’t know what Myra was up to this time, but she followed Myra.
“You’re such a useless daughter. How dare you cheat? Get on your knees and apologize!” Tom raised his hand and was about to slap Meredith.

However, Meredith’s fair and slender hand caught his hand before he could strike her. “Who said I cheated?” Meredith looked at Tom coldly.
“Meredith, quickly kneel and apologize to everyone. I previously gave you Seth’s exam paper, but it was only meant for your reference. How did you end up copying his answer word for word?” Myra appeared worried and concerned for Meredith. Still, her words actually confirmed that Meredith had cheated.
Was that how Meredith cheated? Myra kindly gave her Seth’s past exam paper as a reference, and she shamelessly copied it word for word!
“You cheated, but you’re still so arrogant. You don’t even want to admit it. How disgusting.”
“You’re a cheater. I hope your entire family perishes.”
“I thought a prodigy had appeared. As it turns out, it’s just a cheating loser.”

Meredith was dumbstruck. As everyone insulted her, she released Tom’s hand. At the same time, her indifferent gaze was fixed coldly on the test paper on the bulletin board.
Next to the test paper, a note criticizing Meredith’s cheating was pinned on the board. It wasn’t signed, indicating it wasn’t from the school.

Meredith turned and asked, “Who is Seth Creed?” She was aloof and showed no remorse, which only made. Tom angrier.
He regretted impulsively deciding yesterday to organize a feast for the entire Quantum student body. “You cheated, but you still have the nerve to defend yourself?! Apologize now!” he shouted angrily. He raised his hand and wanted to strike Meredith again.
‘Mr. Kane, please communicate civilly and refrain from violence,” the teacher from the publicity department quickly intervened before turning to Meredith. “Meredith, what on earth is going on? Do you want to explain yourself?”
They thought a prodigy had finally come to Quantum after decades, only to find out that she had cheated. The genius student was a failure, and none of the teachers who had marked her papers detected anything wrong. It was a colossal disaster.
The Kane family was embarrassed/but Quantum Academy felt even more humiliated. Therefore, Meredith had to explain herself, as it concerned the school’s reputation.
Meredith was flabbergasted and speechless when she saw everyone’s gaze fixed on her. Still, no one had answered her question about Seth yet. She also felt utterly floored that Tom didn’t even bother to clarify with her and immediately believed that she had cheated.

A handsome boy with sharp, elegant features and long legs walked over, his thick brows furrowed impatiently.
When Tom saw Seth, he immediately greeted Seth with a bow. Regardless of whether the banquet had gone awry, he had to maintain a good relationship with the Creed family.
“Seth, you’re finally here. This girl cheated, copied your answers, and tarnished the school’s reputation. Hurry up and expel her from Quantum Academy!” a student said while pointing at Meredith.
Seth looked over and saw a tall, slender girl with delicate features and fair skin. Surprise flickered across his annoyed gaze.
He had heard yesterday that a poor girl from the countryside had scored full marks in four subjects and replaced him as Quantumn’s top student. His father had even asked him to get to know her, but he refused.
He thought that a country bumpkin from the sticks was unattractive and unsophisticated… He didn’t expect her to be so attractive. But no matter how beautiful, she was just a pretty face!
When he arrived at the school gate, a student told him that Meredith had cheated and copied his answers, which were posted on the school bulletin board. That was why he had rushed over. He had particular test papers that couldn’t see the light of day!
“Are you Seth Creed?” Meredith glanced at the boy apathetically.
Seth nodded. He had an arrogant and disdainful expression.
Meredith turned her beautiful eyes to the test papers on the bulletin board. She asked, “Did you answer this test paper yourself?”
“What are you saying? Of course, Seth answered the test paper on his own. Who else could have answered it for him?” The other students were annoyed at Meredith’s question. “Seth has always been Quantum’s top student. If you cheated, just admit it. Don’t act like you’re innocent.”
Seth didn’t defend himself. He went to the bulletin board and carefully examined Meredith’s test paper. Their problem–solving methods and the essays were almost identical. Only their handwriting differed.
It seemed that Seth had been worried for nothing. He tore down the test papers angrily and asked Meredith in a displeased manner, “Where did you get these test papers?”
Tom was even more confident that Meredith had cheated when he saw how livid Seth was. He truly regretted his impulsive decisions yesterday! Not only did he embarrass the Kane family, but he also potentially provoked the Creed family!
“Seth, I’m sorry. It’s all my fault. I shouldn’t have shown Meredith the test papers you lent me without asking. I really didn’t expect her to do this. I’m sorry… Myra apologized as the rims of her eyes reddened. Her pitiful appearance truly evoked everyone’s sympathy.
“Myra, this has nothing to do with you. You don’t need to apologize on her behalf. Seth comforted her and turned to Meredith. “Do you have no shame? Are you so eager to let the whole school know about your cheating?”
