The Divorced Heiress by Arianapeige Novel Chapter 176

Chapter 176

“Just send his contact. I don’t care who he really is as long as we have an agreement,” Amanda said

stubbornly making Alex sigh.

“Are you sure?” he asked.

“Yeah. Just send it so that I can go to sleep. It’s already late here,” Amanda said as she hung up

the call and got in her bed.

After some minutes, Alex sent the contact.

Amanda clicked on it as she wondered whether she should call the man or text but before she made a

decision a call came through.

“Hello,” she said in a cold voice.

“Why are you speaking to me in that tone? Did someone mess with you?” a deep voice sounded on th

other end.

“Yeah. You, of course. Don’t you know that I am supposed to be sleeping?” Amanda said angrily.

“You aren’t asleep, right?” the man said with a chuckle.

“Mr Gilbert, if you have nothing else to say then I will be hanging up,” she answered.

“Is that how you talk to me now that you don’t need my help?” Gregory asked in a serious tone.

“Well, yeah. First of all, I never needed your help. You guys plotted so that I could come to that

city thus don’t think that I regard so highly of you,” Amanda replied.

“So you already know that I am your fiancée?” he asked.

today

“Today. I found out about it today but isn’t it a fiancée by name? Also, my parents and brothers are

against it. They were planning on informing your family about it tomorrow,” she said as she tapped her nightstand.

Gregory was stunned when he heard that but knew that it was better not to ask a lot of questions.

“I am in the capital. Can we meet tomorrow before the engagement is canceled?” he asked in a calm soft voice.

“No,” Amanda answered coldly a tone different from what Gregory had used.

Gregory could see Amanda’s hatred and indifference towards him even from the phone. That made hir

frown as he wondered why there was such a huge change in how she was treating him.

“Although the engagement is canceled, can’t we be friends? After all, we still have some business to  do together,” he said after some time.

Amanda remained silent but she cussed inwardly as she had wanted a clear line between the two.

“We are just business partners. Don’t push your luck,” she answered.

“Then can we meet so that we can talk about business?” he asked.

Amanda was speechless and she got tired from talking to him. She wondered why the latter couldn’t understand that she didn’t want to talk to him.

“You aren’t going to give up. You will make sure that we meet tomorrow, right?” Amanda asked coldly.

as she hated such people the most.

“If that’s how you will take it then yes. So, can you grant me with your presence Your Highness?” he asked in a polite tone making Amanda snort.

“Fake!” she murmured as her eyes turned cold as she looked at the wall with a phone in her right hand and near her right ear.

“Fine. Send the address and I will be there by 1 in the afternoon. Now, if there is nothing else to talk about I will be hanging up,” she said and immediately did as she said as she just didn’t want to talk to him.

She felt betrayed as she had treated him as one of her friends and partners but after hearing her grandfather’s words, she understood that the other person was befriending her cause he knew about the

engagement. She wished that he had told her instead of keeping it as a secret.

Now, she just had to stay away from him as to her, he wasn’t an honest person and not worth being her friend.

With her mood ruined, she didn’t think of texting Antonio.

She placed her phone on the nightstand and lay on the bed.

In the following morning, she woke up at 11 o’clock.

After showering and dressing up, she put her phone in her handbag on her left hand took her heels, and carried them out of the room.

The house was filled with Angel’s laughter making her smile involuntarily. She felt that it was a pity she was going out as she should have spent the day with Angel.

“Auntie,” the little girl ran toward her.

“Slow down,” she said as she hurriedly walked down.

She placed her handbag on a couch and the heels on a corner before lifting Angel.

“Have you eaten?” she asked.

“Well, Auntie hasn’t taken anything yet. Do you want to accompany me?” Amanda asked as she kissed Angel’s forehead.

“No! Auntie is a sleepy head! She woke up late and I don’t want to be infected with her sleepiness,” Angel said.

“No way!” Amanda said as she started tickling her.

“Auntie …. auntie… stop…. please,” Angel said in between laughs making Amanda also join in.

“Amanda, you should first eat before playing with her,” Mrs Anderson said making Amanda stick her tongue out.

“Mom, I thought that I was your favorite!” Amanda said as she pretended to be wronged.

“I just don’t want you to fall due to hunger,” Mrs Anderson said as she patted her daughter.

Amanda walked into the kitchen and she saw her aunt cooking the sweet aroma filled her nose, and her stomach started to grumble making everyone around laugh at her.

She looked her head out of humiliation as she pointed at her stomach blaming it for that.

She hurriedly ate then took her car keys and left.

“Be careful on the road and come early for dinner,” her mother shouted as she closed the door.

She hurriedly ate then took her car keys and left.

“Be careful on the road and come early for dinner,” her mother shouted as she closed the door.

“Okay,” Amanda replied as she got in the car.

Thirty minutes late, she arrived at a high–rated restaurant.

She walked out and handed her keys to the guard to help her park before walking in.

“You are here on time,” Gregory said with a smile when he saw her.

He stood up and pulled the opposite chair so Amanda could sit there.

“You are quite early,” Amanda replied coldly before taking the seat.

“What do you want to eat?” he asked as he sat down.

“Just eaten. Tell me what you wanted to tell me,” Amanda said.

“You! You are here with another man yet you said that I am your man and will be responsible for me?” a voice said on the side startling them.
