Everyone except Ariana was shocked as she had already known who the woman was.

Luke looked at Leslie with hatred shocking the latter and disbelief was written all over her face.
“You! Did you approach me on your sister’s accord? I had just come out of teaching her a lesson then you walked in. Did she call you so that you can follow me in my office?” Luke asked angrily.
Leslie told herself that she should control herself and try her best not to be angry as the man in front of her was her husband and she didn’t want to be like her, who had a ruined marriage. Although she wasn’t in love with Luke, she had promised herself to make the relationship work now that the man she had always admired and wanted to meet was her husband.
“What are you trying to say? I am just her step–sister!” she said.
Once again they were shocked and they looked at Amanda asking her with their eyes whether the latter was telling the truth. Amanda nodded her head.
“Luke, it isn’t that I am against your marriage with her. I just wanted you all to know who she is to avoid you guys quarreling in the future,” Amanda said which made her family dumbfounded as they
didn’t understand what she was trying to say.

“Luke, treat her well. I can assure you that she isn’t here on Marie’s behalf or to cause our family to be in dispute.” Amanda told her brother who was looking at his wife with complicated emotions.

Another thing, make sure that your father doesn’t find out who you got married to, there is no way we are ever going to help them out. Marie is our biggest enemy and we will destroy anything related to her thus be prepared for your family to go bankrupt and for it to be caused by your in–laws. Leslie listened carefully and quietly without interrupting him and the more she listened the more she was shocked that she had not been gone for long but her family had already gotten in trouble with the richest family. From how they expressed their hatred of the family especially of Marie, there was no need for anyone to tell her anything as she understood that the woman must be the one who had caused all the problems.
