Damien heard his grandma’s words and was shocked.
As the heir of such a big family, he was forced by his grandfather to know and be able to recite the family rules but since his grandfather died, no one has ever spoken about the rules. Now hearing about the rules, he was shocked and at the same time in disbelief as he didn’t believe that his grandmother could do that to him.
Marie was so close to him also heard Old Mrs Scott’s words and she was so shocked. She looked at Damien with hatred as if Damien had done something wrong to her. Luckily, Damien was already lost ir their mind that he didn’t see her gaze or he would have been in disbelief.
“Grandma, you can’t do that to me!” Damien said as he tried his best not to speak coldly to his grandmother and be angry at her.
“I can’t do that to you? Since your grandfather died, have you ever listened to me? No! You only do what your mind tells you to do! No one can even change your mind when you have decided something. Now that you have shown me that you can’t do anything right because of that woman and have even forsaker your family for that woman, why don’t you just leave the president’s position and our family and go live with that woman?” Old Mrs Scott said sharply making the two ladies with her and the butler remain silent as the atmosphere they were in was so overwhelming because of her aura.
“Who said that I never listen you to? Didn’t you ask me to divorce Amanda and give you the divorce papers as your birthday gift? Didn’t I do that?” Damien said making the old woman dumbfounded.
“If it weren’t for that woman’s accusation that my Amanda had harmed her on my birthday. requested that? She is just a scheming bitch!” Old Mrs Scott replied coldly.

Marie heard the words and clenched her hands into a fist but because she had long nails, it pierced her palm making it start bleeding. When she felt the pain, she was shocked and released her hands only to find her palms injured. This made her eyes darken and become cold as she thought that the old
woman knew how to ruin her happiness.
‘I wish that the hooligans I had paid were to kill this old woman instead of Amanda! She is so
annoying and I don’t think that I can tolerate her anymore!” she said inwardly before starting to
plan how to get rid of her.

‘She loves my grandpa so much that she doesn’t want his properties ruined. She doesn’t want me to ruin her lover’s legacy. I am even jealous of her as I don’t think I will get such a person in my entire life. I know Marie doesn’t love me that much as if she did, she wouldn’t have used my baby sister as the scapegoat‘ Damien said inwardly but just then, something flashed in his mind making his mood so gloomy.
“Yeah, Amanda loved me just as grandma loves grandpa; she even left her family to be with me, but I just don’t love her. My life belongs to Marie. Even though she is not the best, I believe that everything will be fine once we get married as she won’t be so insecure. He said in his mind but if Marie knew what he was thinking, she would just regard him as a fool.
“You have been silent for so long yet you haven’t said anything. I know you think that I am oppressing you but just blame yourself for your bad luck! If you refuse to leave that woman don’t think of going to the company tomorrow. I will be in charge until one of your cousins comes back.o I will take to the executives and shareholders who have been complaining about you every now and the about you. They are also so disappointed in you!” Old Mrs Scott said making Damien speechless as he

He wondered whether they already knew about Marie’s doings and made Eunice the scapegoat as he didn’t see any other reason why his grandmother was behaving in such a manner.
“Grandma, can’t you give me time to think about it then I will tell you my decision?” he said in a low sad tone which made everyone’s heart soften when they heard that.
It was like a small child who had been asked by his parents what he wanted and at that time he didn’t
know thus he didn’t have time.
“Time to think? If I give you that time when you are in the office, I am sure that by the time you

make a decision, the company will have entirely collapsed thus my answer is no! If you want time to
think, you can have that time when you are at home and not thinking about work. You are dismissed
from the office from today!” Old Mrs Scott said coldly and firmly before hanging up making Damien
panic.
“I am right! I guess they already know about what Marie did to Eunice. He admitted in his mind. before looking at the woman in the hospital bed who had immediately lowered her head and pretended to be pitiful when he saw Damien turning to look at her.
Seeing the scene, Damien was even more heartbroken but he knew that now he didn’t have any other choice.
