Alpha Nick was shocked. Sheridan was sleeping as if she would never wake up but the force at which she jolted awake created the impression that something must have woken her.

“Calm down. What is the problem?” He asked Sheridan, just to confirm as he wiped beads of sweat from her forehead.
Sheridan had no idea why but recalled vividly that Athena had something very important to tell her. “She said she had to see Daisy and also would tell me a few things.”
Alpha Nick confirmed that it was indeed his mother’s powers. Certainly, Sheridan would have to know about it even if she was not the chosen one.
It would create the avenue for her to use the knowledge to help Daisy in the future.
“Arnold already took her to see Daisy. How are you feeling?” Alpha Nick asked worriedly, Sheridan stared at him with mixed feelings and responded.
“Fine. Except,” she rubbed her hands around the area of the mark. The voices she was hearing in her ears must be because she was mated to an Alpha.
The responsibility of the pack was now shared between them as she could now feel the pressure Alpha Nick faced on a daily basis.
“Except what?” Alpha Nick asked her. All he wanted was for her to be happy. Everything else could wait. He could not also wait to put an end to Charlotte and Tom, so Daisy could be introduced to the pack.

Alpha Knight once again refused. For as long as Charlotte disappeared, it was easy to discern that she would be back.
