ISABEL
It felt like time stopped moving the moment I turned to see Login with Emma wrapping her arms firmly around my neck.
What was he doing here and by this time of the night?
He looked surprised from the way he stared at me. My heart paced faster than normal. It was like I was suddenly out of breath and I had been caught doing something wrong.
“I will take the kids inside,” Adeline said beside me as she took Emma from my hand and Ethan took. She carried them away. If he saw Emma, he wouldn’t know if she was his child or not but if he saw Ethan, he might know.
From my peripheral view, I watched as Adeline took the kids away, making sure that Logan didn’t get a glimpse of Ethan’s
face.
“What are you doing here?” It was Tim who asked.
I was still in shock of almost being caught and a little angry that he came here after I told him to stay away from me.
“You already have a child with this ba stard?” He sounded hurt.
“Hey man, watch your tone. I will not appreciate you speaking to me in that way and I’ve warned you before, didn’t I?” Tim
retorted.
“You will shut up and stay out of this, do you hear me?” Logan chided.
“Oh don’t speak to me in that tone. What the f uck is your problem and why are you always here? Do you want me to call the police?” Tim moved forward, now standing close to Logan.
“You can do whatever you want but right now I want to speak to sabel and I’d advise you that you stay the f uck out of this or else, I will rip off your neck and I’m not making jokes,” Logan said through his teeth, clenching his fast hard and I knew what
was coming.
I’ve known Logan for a long time and if there’s something I noticed about him, it’s that whenever he’s about to break something or lose his temper, he speaks through his teeth and clenches his fist.
But why was he angry? Why does he want to hurt someone when he is the problem?
“Logan, stay away from him,” I stood in between them now pushing Logan off.
Tim doesn’t know what’s coming but I do and that’s why I’d avoid it before it happens.
“Back off Logan!” I shoved him harder but he didn’t move. He was so firm on the ground while glaring at Tim.
When he finally looked at me, his eyes were bloodshot red. “You f ucked him? You even went as far as having a child with him? How could you?”
I slapped him hard on the face. I didn’t even realize when my hand went up to hit his face.
“Go on. Hit me hard. So how long have you been with him? You for… how could you!” He growled.
I was so shaken by his actions that I almost fell but Tim held me firm.
“Will you go away? What’s your problem with her? I told you already to stay away. Don’t traumatize her already!” Tim was angry and that was the first time I heard him raise his voice.

“I do not belong to you Log. We ended what we had four years ago. How many times do I have to remind you that you were the one that ended our relationship? What do you want now? It’s four years. Move on! All you’ve been doing is repeating the same thing and it’s exhausting already. Don’t you get it?” Tears slipped down my cheek.
I was starting to break down from the whole scene.
“In just a matter of time. I assure you that in a matter of time, you will be mine again. I don’t give a f uck if you already have a child with this ba stard. You are mine alone and that’s it. I will do whatever it takes to have you back even if I have to do it by force!” Logan stated.
I stared in disbelief.
Tim pulled me to the side so he’d be standing close to Logan. “Keep dreaming for a long time because it can never be reality. Isabel is mine and will be mine alone.
I could feel the tension standing beside both men. They looked into each other eyes as if daring the other to make the first move, I suddenly wished the ground could open and swallow me because I wasn’t sure what was happening again.
“Alright. We shall see about that.”
By the time I’d lifted my face to see Logan, he was already leaving. How got into his car, and slammed the door so hard that I was startled by the sound.
He drove off so fast, making a creaking sound.
1 heaved a sigh of relief. “How the hell did you get involved with someone like that? D amn, he’s crazy. He’s a psychopath and were you forced? I don’t even get it. Did you run away while pregnant for him or something I wouldn’t blame you if he did. That’s the worst type of jerk anyone should ever get involved with.”

“What happened Isabel? Come on, speak to me?” She urged.
“He’s crazy Isabel. He won’t leave me be. He keeps pushing me. He wanted to fight. He even vowed to rip Tim’s head off. He said he’d be back. He accused me of…”
“Isabel, breathe,” Adeline remarked and it was then that I realized that I had stopped breathing and kept talking.
“Now take your time and explain to me what happened,” she said.
“He accused Tim of being the twins father and he wasn’t happy, I don’t even know what’s wrong with him Isabel. He kept saying he’d make me his again and it’s scary. I don’t even know who he is anymore. I mean I didn’t know who he was anyway.” I cried out..

Adeline pulled me close. “Ob, Isabel. It’s fine. He’s a jerk. I don’t even know what to say about this. What do you think he d do when he finds out that he’s the father of the twins?”
“I won’t let him find out and he won’t ever know. Nothing will make him get the hint because I’d avoid it. I will… I think I have to quit. I can’t keep working with him. I don’t think I can.” I told Adeline.
“That is a good idea and I suggest it. I mean you said he kissed you the other day and speaks dirty with you. Who knows what he might do?”
I couldn’t help but feel scared. Logan wasn’t like that. He was nice to me. I don’t even know the part of him that was good but the days he was good to me made me want to believe he couldn’t be that bad but with all he’s been doing lately, I
couldn’t tell.
“I will have to call Leah or perhaps drop a text message and try to speak to her tomorrow. I’m done speaking with Logan. 1 can’t and won’t be close to him and the kids won’t know he’s their father and he won’t know about that. He already made his choice and he should stick with it.” I stated firmly.
“It’s fine my dear friend. Don’t worry I am standing right beside you. You don’t have to do anything that you don’t want to. With how persistent he is, only Heaven knows what he’d do. I mean he’s still married yet he’s disturbing you!”
“I’m done with this. I’m done with all of it. I will quit my job and if it becomes too much. I’ll leave this place just like I did four years ago. It’s like he takes joy in seeing me in pain. It’s evident now with his actions. I won’t let him hurt me anymore.” I got up from my seat.
“I need to take a long and cold shower,” I said to Adeline.
Alright, dear. Do that. You deserve it,” she said.
I walked away and went straight to the shower to clear my head.
