Maria was slightly taken aback. ‘Help her? How can I possibly help her when I have just arrived here?‘ she wondered.
“Um, sorry, can you tell me where the laundry room is first?” Maria asked apologetically. Her arms were growing tired from holding a bunch of bedding.
Paige then realized the situation, reaching out to take the items from Maria. “Let me help you.”
“No need. I can manage on my own.” Maria shook her head. Her impression of Paige improved.
“Then, follow me.” Seeing that Maria refused to let her help, Paige led Maria to the laundry room.

After putting the bedding to wash, Maria asked Paige about the favor she needed. “What do you want me to help you with?”
Glancing around to ensure no one was listening, Paige lowered her voice and said to Maria, “Miss Greenwood, could you teach me how to make the grilled steak you made yesterday?”
Maria had thought that she needed help with something important. She didn’t think it was about the grilled steak. She readily agreed. “Sure, no problem. But you’ll have to wait for a while. I’ll teach you.”
“Thank you.” Paige smiled happily.
Maria didn’t think it was a big deal. After agreeing with Paige, she went upstairs and returned to the bedroom.
Having just woken up without washing her face or brushing her teeth, she headed straight to the bathroom.
On the other hand, Frank, having finished his shower, walked out of the bathroom. He glanced at the stripped bed and furrowed his brows disdainfully.
He found it ridiculous that Maria would come to the wrong room. What a lame excuse.
It was impressive how she could come up with such an excuse. She was truly a woman who would use any means necessary to reach her goals!
He walked toward his bedroom. As this was a guest room without his clothes, he needed to go to the dressing room in his.. bedroom to change.
Opening the bedroom door, he surveyed the crumpled bedding on the bed, furrowing his brows even more.
‘Can’t the woman even make her bed properly? How can she leave the bed like this? It is dirty and messy!” he thought critically.
Frank displeasedly furrowed his brows. His disdain for Maria deepened. Turning away from the untidy bed, he bypassed it, pushed open the door to the dressing room, and went in.
Meanwhile, Maria had shut off the water in the bathroom. She wrapped a bath towel around her body, leaving her exquisite collarbones, slender arms, and long thighs exposed.
She was annoyed when she realized she hadn’t brought her change of clothes into the bathroom. She had to go outside to change.
‘What if Frank comes in?‘ she thought.
Maria hesitated for a moment. However, considering Frank’s clear dislike for her and the fact that he slept in the guest room, she assumed he wouldn’t come into the bedroom.
Thus, she thought it would be fine to go out like this.
With one hand holding the bath towel, Maria opened the bathroom door to go to the dressing room.
