Although Bonnie said that, Ivor’s words caused her to blush a little.
Ivor smiled shamelessly and peeled a lobster claw for Bonnie before putting it on her plate. “I just imported this lobster from Aresstin this morning. The meat is tender and delicious. See if it suits your taste.” Bonnie took a bite and praised, “Yeah, the meat is fresh!”
“You can have more if you want. I’ll peel the rest for you.” Ivor continued to peel the lobster for Bonnie. Before she knew it, a pile of lobster meat was on her plate. Meanwhile, Ivor’s plate remained empty. Bonnie noticed it and placed half her lobster meat onto his plate. “Don’t just feed me. You should have some, too.”
“I’m fine. I’ll eat once you’re full.” Ivor liked doing things like these for Bonnie. Although it was trivial, seeing Bonnie eat made him feel content.
“Don’t be like that, Ivor. Let’s eat together, or I’ll get annoyed.” Bonnie put on a stern expression and glanced at Ivor’s plate, signaling him to eat.
“Okay, if my honey wants me to eat, I’ll eat. I know you care about me. You always remember to share food with me.”
Bonnie did not understand the connection to caring. However, she did not dwell on it since Ivor had interpreted it that way. After all, she had grown accustomed to his behavior. “Whatever you say, Ivor. Come on, let’s eat.”
“All right.” Ivor lowered his head and ate the lobster, occasionally glancing at Bonnie. The overwhelming tenderness in his eyes overflowed at that moment.
On the other hand, Bonnie continued to eat her meal casually. She had long grown immune to his gaze because Ivor often looked at her that way. Of course, she still felt delighted.
The butler watched the couple eating together and could not help but smile. He muttered, “Mr. Ivor and Ms. Bonnie have such an excellent relationship.”
A housekeeper added, “Yeah, I’ve never seen Mr. Ivor smile like that. He seems to smile a lot more since Ms. Bonnie came. He’s more cheerful, too.”
Another housekeeper said, “You’re right. Mr. Ivor and Ms. Bonnie are a match made in heaven. I believe they will always be happy.”
Although the couple only enjoyed a meal together, their happiness and sweetness could make one envy them. The butler and housekeepers felt blessed to witness such a thing.
After all, the housekeepers and butler would have better days with Bonnie and Ivor, who have such an excellent relationship.
After eating, Bonnie returned to her room to organize some documents. Suddenly, her phone rang, and she picked it up. She saw Jim’s name and muttered, “Why’s he calling me? I wonder if something happened with Eloise.”
