I Love You, Miss Genius Chapter 561

After leaving Bonnie’s room last night, Leo could not shake the feeling that something fishy had happened. He had honed his senses over the past several decades as a member of the army, and it told him tha something had happened.

‘I’m certain the person wearing the military uniform entered and escaped through the window.’

He checked the security footage and compared it meticulously. That was when he discovered his daughter had barged into Bonnie’s room. He then ordered his men to gather the rest of the footage to search for anyone suspicious.

A minute ago, his men sussed Sienna out. Leo ordered, “Take her away and send her back to Pyralis!”

“No! I refuse to go back!” Sienna struggled. “Please, I can’t go back now, Grandpa! I made a bet with Bonnie and can’t return to Pyralis empty-handed!”

“Hold it right there.” He raised his hand and the army men holding his granddaughter stopped.

“What did you just say? Wh-Who did you make a bet with?”

Sienna gritted her teeth and told her grandfather everything that happened last night. “That’s the whole story, Grandpa. I can’t afford to lose my bet with Bonnie. If I do, she’ll have total control over my life.”

Leo’s jaw hit the ground. Although Sienna was worked up, he looked at her like she was a moron. Sienna continued, “Grandpa, if you want me to take responsibility for my actions, you’ll have to reprimand Bonnie, too. I wasn’t the only one in Ms. Bonita’s room last night.

“Bonnie was there, too. If you send me back to Pyralis, you’ll have to do the same to her, or it won’t be fair!”

Leo sighed and massaged his temples.

‘I used to be proud of Sienna because she was talented. However, she looks more like an idiot as the days pass. She doesn’t even know Bonnie’s playing her like a fiddle.’

As he felt disappointed in his granddaughter, Bonnie appeared from behind him and said, “Leo, she’s your granddaughter. I don’t think she meant any harm. Let her stay.” Sienna whipped around and saw a masked Bonnie. The former’s eyes sparkled instantly as she exclaimed, “Ms. Bonita!”

‘Finally, I get to meet her! She also just spoke up for me!’

Leo looked at her granddaughter staring at Bonnie admiringly. His headache worsened at that moment.

‘Although Sienna might’ve been talented, she’s overhasty and set in her ways. She needs someone to mold her into a more well-rounded person, and Bonnie is doing just that.’

“If that’s what you wish, I’ll let her off the hook.” Leo approached Bonnie and whispered, “My granddaughter isn’t pleasant to have around. I appreciate you taking the time to whip her into shape.”

“You got it, Leo.” Bonnie only agreed to it because Leo and his brothers sacrificed their lives to protect her three years ago, not to mention that generations of McLeods had guarded the nation’s borders. They made significant sacrifices to keep Arvandor safe. Bonnie was impressed with their loyalty to the nation.

Sienna placed her hand over her heart and approached Bonnie. The former said solemnly, “You can count on me, Ms. Bonita. No one can touch you while I’m around!”

Bonnie asked, “Are you sure you want to risk your life to protect me?”

“Of course I am!” Sienna replied firmly.

Bonnie pressed, “You might not know about this, but someone sent a task to SR League to assassinate me. Although no one has accepted the task, anyone would be brave enough to take it for a handsome reward.

“There are too many criminals who fear nothing, not even death. That’s why I’m certain Motrus is a dangerous trip. That’s also why the higher-ups sent your grandpa to protect me during this conference. “If you’re here, and the hitmen try to kill me, you’d be in danger. Now that I’ve explained the facade of the trip, do you still want to protect me?”

Sienna smacked her chest and looked even more solemn than before. She looked like she placed her life on her oath, “I, Sienna McLeod, the granddaughter of the former general Leo McLeod, swear to guard you with my life.

“If anyone dares to lay a finger on you, they’ll have to go through me!” She uttered each word thunderously and mightily.
