I Love You, Miss Genius Chapter 554

Trina had a good idea of who Ivor was when she met him at Pyralis University’s Scientific Research Competition. After all, he sat at the Knight Group’s seat. Still, she was unsure as he could have been just a representative and not a higher-up.

Buzz, buzz! Buzz!

Gresham answered his phone, “What is it, Dad?”

Although he asked that, he knew why Harold was calling. The latter replied, “Why else would I be calling? Aren’t you watching the live broadcast? It’s a big day, Gresham. The whole city-no, the whole nation is watching!”

All of Arvandor watched the show. After all, it was rare for Bonita to appear in a live broadcast.

Harold questioned, “Why is that punk standing beside Ms. Bonita?”

He was curious because he had seen Bonnie and Ivor on multiple occasions.

“Well…” Gresham wished he knew the answer. “M-Maybe he’s just a staff member or something.”

It made sense since Ivor was not the only one there. There were many staff members with Bonita, too. Either way, the father and son could not think of other reasons. They also did not believe Ivor was a big shot. If that were the case, Bonnie would have boasted about it.

Harold nodded in approval and responded, “I guess you could be right.”

Gresham stared at Ivor through the television screen. After some thought, he said, “Dad, we disowned Bonnie. That’s what you and Mom wanted for a long time. Now that she no longer has anything to do with us, why does that punk’s identity still matter to you?”

“What are you insinuating, Gresham? Are you trying to blame your mother and me for kicking Bonnie out of the family?”

“That’s not it, Dad. I’m just stating a fact. Bonnie will never rejoin our family even if we—”

Before he finished, his father interjected, “That’ll never happen! I’ll never let her rejoin the family, and I’ve clarified it during the family meeting. She’s a good-for-nothing who has disrespected her elders and is a pathological liar.

“She’s the reason our family became a laughing stock! Bonnie has no place in this family. I won’t tolerate her presence. I’ll still forbid her from returning even when I die!” Harold hung up and texted the exact words he told his son to the family group chat.

Bonnie had just taken her seat in the first-class area when Ivor sat beside her. She turned to him and asked, “Can I help you with anything?”

“Yes, you can.” He gazed at her.

Bonnie kept her composure and replied, “What do you need? Also, you can sit across the aisle.”

Jim stood guard but looked at the duo from the corner of his eyes. Then, Floyd quietly approached, stood beside Jim, and whispered, “Something’s off about Mr. Ivor today. I feel he’s trying to get close to Ms. Bonita.”

“Really? I didn’t think that.”

“Look closely, Jim. He’s sitting unusually close to Ms. Bonita.” Floyd grew worried. “Do you think Mr. Ivor is moving on from Ms. Bonnie and trying to win Ms. Bonita’s heart?”

Jim’s lip twitched, and he gave himself time to regain his composure before asking, “What makes you say that?”

“You wouldn’t know it, but Mr. Ivor loves talented women. He finally fell in love with Ms. Bonnie after being uninterested in women for so long. That’s because Ms. Bonnie is incredibly gifted. Ms. Bonnie is excellent, and I’m impressed with her.

“Still, Ms. Bonita is unbelievably magnificent. Ms. Bonnie can’t compare to someone like her. I fear Mr. Ivor might have a change of heart and fall in love with Ms. Bonita instead. Come on, Jim. I consider you my brother. Can you please tell me what Ms. Bonita looks like? Is she as beautiful as Ms. Bonnie?”
