I Love You, Miss Genius Chapter 539

While Elsa was puzzled, she followed Kramer’s gaze and saw the beautiful girl by the side of the road. It made her blush, and her heart beat faster even though. It was no wonder her brother was acting like this.

“Look at her. It seems like she’s lost. Let me help her find her way!”

Kramer enthusiastically drove the car to Bonnie’s side and rolled down the window.

“Hey gorgeous, are you lost? Where are you headed? I’m a local here, so I know every place well.”

“Kramer!” Elsa rolled her eyes at Kramer. “You’re scaring her. She doesn’t even know you.”

He felt a sense of unease. ‘Indeed! We don’t know each other. My overly enthusiastic demeanor might frighten any ordinary girl. Oh no, what if she runs away?’ Then he heard Bonnie’s calm and composed voice. “You’re a local? Are you familiar with this place?”

Kramer stared at Bonnie. What surprised him was that this girl didn’t seem to be afraid at all. Could she be inexperienced and naive, so she had no worries? “Yes, where are you headed? Don’t worry, my sister is also in the car. We’re good people.”

Good or bad, Bonnie wasn’t afraid at all. If she encountered a bad person, the one who should be afraid was the bad person.

“I don’t know exactly where I’m going.”

Bonnie’s answer made Kramer pause. “You don’t know? Then…”

“Do you know Jim Ray?” Bonnie asked.

Kramer was stunned for a moment, then glanced at Elsa.

“Why are you looking for Jim?”

Hearing this answer and seeing their reactions, Bonnie guessed that they probably knew him.

This wasn’t too surprising. After all, Jim was well-known both domestically and internationally. The locals in the county town would surely know a celebrity like him.

“Today is the joint birthday celebration for his grandparents. I came to wish him.”

Elsa scrutinized Bonnie with a look of jealousy. “You don’t even know Jim, right? I don’t know how you found out about the birthday banquet, but you better come clean. Are you trying to get to know my Jim and seduce him?”

She deliberately emphasized “my Jim” to declare that Jim belonged to her and not to try anything with him.

“Elsa, you’re too harsh. Don’t make baseless accusations if you don’t know the truth, okay?”

Kramer was afraid that his sister would anger Bonnie and make her leave.

“Kramer! Don’t be fooled by her fox-like face. She doesn’t even know where my Jim lives. Obviously, she doesn’t know him. She doesn’t know my Jim but wants to attend the birthday banquet. Doesn’t this reveal her ulterior motives?”

“Elsa! You’re going too far! Clearly—”

“Wait a minute!” Bonnie interrupted their argument. “It’s getting late. Can you take me there first? I’ll pay for the ride.”

“Wow!” Elsa asked, “Did we promise to take you?”

Facing Elsa’s hostility, Bonnie smirked, “If you take me there, won’t you find out if I really know Jim or not?”

“I don’t want to take you there. If I do, you’ll seduce my Jim.”

“Haha!” Bonnie laughed. “So in your mind, Jim is just a shallow person who judges by appearance?”

“You’re the shallow one! My Jim is discerning and wise, with keen eyesight. He can see through everything at a glance.”

“If that’s the case, why are you so afraid to take me there?”
