I Love You, Miss Genius Chapter 528

Bonnie opened the car door and walked over to Ivor.

“Didn’t you say you were busy and couldn’t pick me up?”

“Did you buy that?” He chuckled before taking off his coat and putting it on her. She felt the warmth from his coat, but the truth was that his gesture warmed her heart as well. “Damn! Her fiance is stunning!” Titus’s eyes sparkled as he stared at Ivor. “I mean it, too. I’m straight, but I’m willing to go home with him.”

Rhys’s lips twitched uncontrollably at that. Turning around, he realized his best friend was almost drooling over Ivor.

‘He didn’t even have any reaction when he saw Bonnie earlier. She’s a beauty, too. Give him a good-looking guy and he slobbers over him. Could it be that he likes guys?’ “It doesn’t mean anything to have good looks. Bonnie could be his sugar mommy for all we know.”

He saw Floyd, who showed up at the art exhibition earlier, walking over to Ivor.

“I’ve done everything you asked for, Mr. Ivor.”

“Hmm. Well done.”

Rhys gulped heavily before looking at Titus. “D-Did you see the way the Knight family’s assistant addressed the handsome guy?”

“I-I heard it. H-He’s treating the handsome guy the way he would a boss.”

At the next moment, both of them gasped.

‘Wait! Bonnie’s boyfriend is the CEO of the Knight Group! How crazy is this? We have to tell our friends about this.’

Before long, they sent a group text to their high school friends.

“I’ve got some earth-shattering news!”

The moment he sent this text, everyone popped up in the group chat and composed their replies.

“What’s going on? Are you getting married?”

“I think he got a lady pregnant before marriage.”

For a moment there, he wasn’t sure how he should respond.

“Stop with the wild guesses. This is about Bonnie, the girl from the class next to ours. Do you guys know who her boyfriend is?”

“Are you going to tell me that you snagged her?”

This particular text made his heart pound like crazy. He turned off his phone screen and poked his head out the car window. Looking at Ivor, he realized the man was holding Bonnie and leading her into a Maybach.

‘If he saw that last text, he would’ve broken one of my legs.’

“Cut the crap!” he texted.

Worried that his friends might make another wild guess, he decided he’d get straight to the point.

“Her boyfriend is the CEO of the Knight Group!”

The group chat was silent after that. He felt proud that he had the privilege of knowing the truth before anyone else did.

Beep!

Beep beep beep!

The texts started to come in.

“Did you have too much to drink, Rhys?”

“That’s right. Even if you did, you should know that some things can’t be said.”

“Look, you can make up anything you want. However, if this gets out and the head of the Knight family comes after us, we will tell him you made up this crazy story.”

“Where’s the group admin? Hurry up and delete all of his texts.”

He didn’t know how to respond. Now, he finally understood why Bonnie didn’t bother telling anyone about this.

Meanwhile, Ivor asked Bonnie the question he had been wanting to ask.

“We’ve always kept Master Kieran’s painting in a safe. Never once have we hung it up for display. So, how did you figure that Kobe’s painting was a fake? How did you know it wasn’t Master Kieran’s authentic painting?

“The error you spotted is such a tiny detail. Not even Orson or Kobe, who are both prestigious figures in the world of painting, could see it. So, how exactly did you pull it off?”
