I Love You, Miss Genius Chapter 527

Bonnie was in a difficult position.

‘I probably would’ve taken Orson as my apprentice. After all, he did help me and kept me safe from the thugs. However, Kay is already my apprentice. Am I supposed to take her grandfather as my apprentice as well? Isn’t that going to mess things up?

‘I mean, is Kay supposed to treat him as her grandfather or a fellow apprentice?’

These thoughts culminated in a terrible headache. She rubbed the side of her head.

Orson saw her reaction and fell into deep thought.

‘Is this a tall order for her? Perhaps she isn’t as well acquainted with Master Kieran as I thought.’

“You should forget about what I said if I put you in a difficult position.” He sighed heavily.

“It is quite difficult, but…” She added, “It might be impossible for her to take you in as an apprentice, but she could certainly show you some pointers.”

“Really? Are you being serious now?!” He was as excited as a young man.

Kay was standing not far from them. She saw her grandfather’s reaction and scratched the back of her head.

Then, she asked Rhys and Titus, who were standing next to her, “What are they talking about? Why is he acting like a child with her?”

In fact, both of them saw it too. There were no words that could describe what they were feeling now.

Bonnie nodded. “Yeah. Showing you some pointers is fine, but I don’t think she has the time now.”

‘It’d have to wait until after the International Scientific Research Conference. Then, I’ll disguise myself as Kieran and meet up with him.’

“Okay! Just let me know after you’ve confirmed the time. I’ve waited for her for seventeen years. I can afford to wait a little longer.” He might’ve said that, but he was very eager to see Kieran. The earlier, the better.

“It’s decided, then. I have some matters to attend to. I’ll be taking my leave now.”

She was about to hail a cab when Rhys came over excitedly. “W-Where do you stay, Bonnie? I’ll give you a ride home.”

Titus pursed his lips. He was Rhys’s best friend, and he could tell that Rhys was trying to elevate his social status by making connections with her.

“That won’t be necessary. I’ll just hail a cab.” She was worried that Ivor might become jealous again if he saw it.

“It’s no trouble at all. You’re going to have a hard time hailing a cab at a time like this. Don’t worry, I’ll just drop you off at the neighborhood gates. I’ll steer clear of your place.”

Rhys thought he was being smart. ‘I’m sure Bonnie didn’t want me to send her back because she’s worried that her family might see me and make things complicated.’

Bonnie looked at the street. What he said was true, there wasn’t a single cab around here.

“Alright, then. Thanks for doing this.”

“Come on, we’re old friends. There’s no need to be this formal. Alright. Hop in.”

She opened the door and sat in the backseat, while Rhys and Titus sat in front.

“Where do I drop you off?” Rhys asked as he turned around.

“Lenfield Resort.”

“Huh?” He blinked in response.

She thought he didn’t catch what she said. So, she repeated herself. “Lenfield Resort.”

Both of them exchanged glances and saw that they were both shocked to the core.

“D-Do you mean the newly developed neighborhood that’s insanely expensive? Is that the Lenfield Resort you’re talking about?”

“As far as I know, there’s only one Lenfield Resort in Pyralis,” she answered.

Both of them gasped in response.

After all, that’s one of the most luxurious neighborhoods in Pyralis. Rumor has it that only the richest and most powerful people had a place there. They were in shock when someone knocked on the window at the driver’s side.

“Who is it?”

Rhys came to his senses and lowered the window. His jaw almost dropped when he found himself staring into an exceptionally stunning face. ‘How is it possible that someone this handsome even exists? We’re all humans, but why do we look so different from each other? The universe isn’t fair!’ “Um… Is there anything I can help you with?”

Ivor said dryly, “I’m here for my fiancé.”

“Huh?” Rhys was obviously stunned. “Why would you knock on my window when you’re looking for…”

He hadn’t even finished his sentence when he whipped his head around and looked at Bonnie.
