I Love You, Miss Genius Chapter 242

Chapter 242

“Hmm.” Bonnie entered the venue with her number plate and found her seat.

She knew many familiar faces would be there today, but she did not expect to find Trina’s and Hadwin’s family sitting beside her. Bonnie would have suspected foul play if she did r not know that Heath had randomly assigned the seats.

“Bonnie? How did you end up here? How did you manage to attend the annual large- scale auction?” Vera asked Bonnie with a hint of annoyance.

Gresham pulled Vera gently. “We have nothing to do with each other anymore. There’s no need to ask.”

Vera frowned at first but then relaxed. Her husband was right. Their family had no ties to Bonnie anymore. There was no need to get upset over her.

Demetria shifted his gaze away from Bonnie and looked at Hadwin, whispering, “Did Bonnie sneak in behind us? If that’s the case, she’s still not giving up on you. She hopes to please us through this opportunity and gain entry into our family.”

Hadwin hesitated. He used to think Bonnie liked him, but after experiencing one thing after another, he felt she had no feelings for him.

“Son, why don’t you take this opportunity to inquire about your uncle’s whereabouts? Although I don’t think it’s directly related to Bonnie, they had conflicts with Bonnie before his family disappeared,” Hadwin’s mother suggested.

“Okay, Mom.”

Hadwin had the same plan in mind. He got up and approached Bonnie.

“Let me ask you, do you know where Uncle Dermot and his family are?”

Bonnie raised her eyebrows lightly. “I drove them out of the country.”

“Hah!” Hadwin scoffed. “You dare to say

that?”

“Why do I have to lie about what I did?” Bonnie retorted.

Demetria couldn’t bear it anymore. “Do you have such power? Can you drive my cousin’s family out of the country? If you’re so capable, your family wouldn’t have kicked you out of the Shepard family.”

Vera frowned. “Whatever it is, could you please not mention us when discussing Bonnie?

Chapter 242

“I’m sorry. I understand where you’re coming from. After all, you gave birth to such a despicable beast.”

Before Demetria finished speaking, Avril walked over angrily.

“I’m telling you, Mrs. Demetria, stop being so rude. Calling others beasts? The one who insults others like this is worse than scum.”

“You little brat, are you asking for a beating?” Demetria roared, baring her teeth.

“I think she is right. People who insult others are worse than animals. They are immoral and lack education. They are the scum of society.”

“Who do you think you are to say that?!” Demetria turned around fiercely. However, when she saw Kay approaching, she quickly suppressed her anger.

Kay’s grandfather was Orson Steel, a renowned painter. As Kay was the most beloved granddaughter of Orson, she was someone that Avril, a small wealthy family’s daughter, couldn’t compare to. She was also someone the Rhodes family couldn’t afford to provoke. “It was me who said that. What? Do you want to hit me? Come on, if you dare, go ahead! My grandpa is over there. If you dare to lay a hand on me, I’ll go tell my grandpa immediately.” Kay stood with her hands on her hips defiantly.

Demetria didn’t dare to provoke Kay and could only swallow her anger.

“Coward!” Kay rolled her eyes and then sat beside Bonnie, handing a milkshake she bought to Bonnie to please her.
