How I Remarry My Ex-Wife Chapter 57

Chapter 57

“Your” Quincey sputtered, covering her stinging cheek and looking at Whitney in disbelief.

She probably never thought Whitney would slap her one day.

Whitney’s hand was still a little numb from how hard she had slapped Quincey.

She looked at Quincey and smiled, though her smile was cold and sarcastic,

“Sorry, this hand is made for slapping people who can’t say anything nice, so it’s going to hurt!” drawled Whitney.

Whitney raised her hand again, and Quincey was so frightened that she immediately stepped back.

Then, Quincey stopped covering her cheek and glared at Whitney. She accused, “How dare you hit me? I’ll teach you a lesson today!”

Her shrewish nature came through, and she charged toward Whitney, her hand raised as though to slap the latter.

Whitney immediately dodged, but Quincey’s hand did not come down. It suddenly changed direction and hit her on the other side of her

face.

Immediately, Quincey’s beautiful eyes filled with tears.

“Whitney, why are you doing this? I know there’s something wrong with your company, but it’s not my fault. You can’t take it out on me.” Tears streamed down Quincey’s face as she spoke.

Whitney frowned and wondered what Quincey was doing

Just then, Whitney heard footsteps behind her. She instinctively turned her head and instantly understood Quincey’s intentions.

Quincey must have seen Thiago and quickly changed her attitude

Whitney thought, Pretending to be pitiful and wronged? Those tears? What a pretentious woman!

‘Humph! That’s Quincey’s favorite trick in front of others.

‘I’ve exposed her many times before, but she’s still unrepentant. Well, don’t blame me for humiliating her today!”

“Cut the act, won’t you? It’s really boring. Are you so afraid of Thiago seeing your real appearance? Well, here’s your chance. Go one then, cry your heart out!” taunted Whitney.

Quincey clearly didn’t understand what Whitney meant and remained immersed in her act.

However, Whitney didn’t give her a chance to react and slapped her again. Of course, that wasn’t the end.

Quincey’s eyes filled with horror. She seemed to collect herself and wanted to dodge, but she wasn’t as fast as Whitney.

Three slaps later, there was an obvious palm print on Quincey’s face, and the shape of the palm print was growing at an alarming rale. It probably wouldn’t take long for Quincey’s face to swell to double its size.

“Go on! Cryl Your Thiago is coming!” Whitney ignored the footsteps behind her and raised her hand to hit Quincey a few more times.

After all, opportunities to slap pretentious women were hard to come by. Whitney wouldn’t waste her chance.

However, a large hand gripped Whitney’s just as she was about to slap Quincey a fourth time.

Chapter 57

Whitney knew who the hand belonged to, and she swiftly broke free from Thiago’s grip.

“Don’t be angry, Thiago. It’s all my fault, not Whitney’s Lasked her about her company, and maybe she’s in a bad mood, so…” Quincey sobbed before continuing. “It’s really not Whitney’s fault, Thiagol”

Before Thiago could speak, Quincey took the lead. She shot him an aggrieved look. Her face was swollen beyond recognition at that point, which only made her look more pitiful.

“Whitney, what the hell do you want? What does your company’s business have to do with Quincey? Even if you’re angry, you can’t vent it on someone else!” Thiago stared at Whitney with disgust. His expression looked just the same as the night before their divorce.

Whitney could never forget his expression, which made it seem as though he was looking at garbage.

Sure enough, Thiago always blindly took Quincey’s side in matters related to her.

Although Whitney had already guessed the result and gotten used to it, his reaction still pained her. She thought, Ah, it really hurts.”

“What’s the matter? Feeling upset because you think i bullied your fiancée again? Isn’t she such a pitiful woman? What a bad woman lam, huh?” Whitney deliberately stressed the word “fiancée”

Thiago froze, and a hint of guilt appeared in his gaze.

He pondered, “Of course this is all a joke to Whitney. How can I feel guilty?”

Meanwhile, Quincey piped up tearfully, “Thiago, it’s my fault. Don’t say that about Whitney. She must be in a bad mood because of what happened to her company. Just let it go.” She continued her convincing, piteous act.

However, Whitney whipped out a pen recorder from her bag at that moment.

Since her encounters with someone like Quincey, it had become Whitney’s habit to carry a pen recorder with her.

After all, it was really hard to convince people without hard evidence, especially someone like Thiago.

Quincey was stunned when she saw the recorder in Whitney’s hand. She ignored the tears that were still rolling down her face.

“Well, let’s appreciate how pitiful your fiancée is! Then, Whitney smirked and pressed the play button.

“After all, some people rely on plagiarism and men to get the upper hand, I can’t learn that. Whitney, don’t put on airs. You’re really shameless. Do you think those men are sincere to you? You may think you’re so capable, but you’re just their plaything. When they get bored of you…” Quincey’s familiar voice drifted out from the pen recorder. Thiago’s face suddenly darkened, and his aura grew uncomfortably cold.

“Thiago, listen to me. It’s not true!” Quincey tried to defend herself despite the damning evidence.

She glared at Whitney and shrieked, “Whitney, how can you frame me with such a thing?” But before she could say anything more, Thiago’s voice sounded from the pen recorder.

‘Frame you? You fool!” Whitney thought as she stowed away the pen recorder in her bag.

“Thiago, listen to me. I was just too…” Quincey took Thlago’s arm and tried to come up with excuses, but Thiago flung her hand away.

“Just gol We’ll talk about this later!” Thiago scolded.

It was the first time Whitney had heard Thiago speak to Quincey in such a harsh tone.

Quincey bowed her head like a frightened rabbit, almost curling herself into a ball.
