“Hello, Wrap this up for me please.” Ignoring Whitney’s advice, Jonah went ahead and grabbed an item as if he were buying vegetables at the
market.
Whitney wanted to intervene but decided to let him be, knowing Jonah’s stubbornness.
As Whitney glanced around, she spotted a man and a woman at the counter

Whitney didn’t want to encounter them, but it seemed fate had other plans as they kept bumping into each other, making her uneasy.
Quincey, smiling affectionately, was holding Thiago’s arm as they browsed items together. They looked deeply in love.

Sensing Whitney’s uneasiness, Jonah approached her after paying. He asked, “Winnie, what’s wrong?”
Then, he frowned, indicating that he had noticed Thiago too.
“It’s okay. By the way, should I prepare a gift? it would be rude to go there empty handed.” Whitney deflected, avoiding the topic of Thiago altogether.
“No need to worry about that. You’re going as my companion, and I’ve already prepared the gifts. Your task today is to be happy and beautiful.” Jonah reassured her, glancing at Thiago once more.
“By the way, Winnie, tell me the truth. Do you still have feelings for Thiago now!”
Whitney’s heart skipped a beat at the question, but she quickly composed herself and scoffed, “How could that be? I have nothing but hatred
for him!”
Without further ado, Jonah approached Thiago directly and greeted him. “Mr. Mackenzie, what a coincidence to see you here! You’re shopping too?”
Thiago and Quincey, who were browsing accessories, looked up, their expressions changing upon seeing Jonah.
“What else can I do besides shopping?” Thiago’s tone was chilly and dismissive.
“You’re right, and this is…” Jonah replied politely, directing his attention toward Quincey and asking the obvious.
She looked up at Thiago expectantly.
However, he remained silent, his gaze fixed coldly on Whitney and Jonah.
“Oh, I see. Girlfriend? What a coincidence! I’m also here with my girlfriend,” Jonah responded, casting a loving gaze at Whitney.
Whitney was taken aback by Jonah’s words. She hesitated, initially wanting to deny it, but when she noticed Thiago’s darkening expression, she decided to go along with it.

As they walked off, Thiago seethed with anger, feeling like he had no outlet for his frustration. He berated Whitney in his mind, calling her names and questioning why he hadn’t seen her true nature before.
However, deep down, he felt a sense of relief that their relationship was over, even if it didn’t bring him any joy.

Thiago understood what she meant, but he had no intention of explaining himself. With a dismissive tone, he replied, “I have other matters to attend to. You can shop yourself.” Without waiting for Quincey’s response, he turned and walked away, leaving her behind.
Quincey seethed with anger as she watched Thiago depart. She couldn’t fathom why he still held onto feelings for Whitney despite everything that had happened between them.

Jonah’s expression darkened. It seemed that Whitney still hadn’t fully accepted him.
Sighing deeply at that thought, Jonah followed Whitney as they continued shopping.
After a while, their shopping was nearly complete when Jonah’s phone rang He answered it, furrowing his brow, then said “Okay” before
hanging up.
Turning to Whitney with an apologetic look, Jonah said, “Winnie, I’m sorry. Something has come up, and I can’t accompany you any longer.”
Jonah retrieved a card from his suit pocket and offered it to Whitney. “Here, take it. Buy whatever you want,” he insisted.
However, Whitney refused the gesture. “Go ahead. I don’t need to buy anything else. You’ve already spent a lot today.”
“Just take it.” Jonah persisted, placing the card in Whitney’s hand before turning to depart.
After taking a few steps, he seemed to remember something and glanced back at Whitney. “I’ll pick you up in the afternoon. I’ll give you a call beforehand,” he added, then left.
Whitney nodded in acknowledgment before deciding to wander the mall alone.
She wasn’t particularly fond of shopping, finding it tiresome and time–consuming. Now that everything had been purchased, she planned to head back.
“Oh, isn’t this Whitney? What a surprise to run into you again. Where’s your boyfriend? Why is he gone?”
Just as she was about to leave, a familiar voice hated her in her tracks.

Whitney shot Quincey a glare, showing no fear, and waited to see what she had in store.
“I was wondering what kind of boyfriend you’d have, but… Well, he’s nothing compared to my Thiago. But I’ve got some news for you. Well, maybe it’s bad news for you,” Quincey remarked with a smirk.
Quincey covered her mouth and smiled, appearing to be in a good mood. “I’m going to be engaged to Thiagol”
Whitney responded with a cold snort. “You’re just getting engaged now? We’ve been divorced for over a year. Aren’t you two a bit slow, or perhaps Thiago hasn’t agreed to the marriage?”
Judging from Thiago’s behavior before, Whitney concluded that Quincey wasn’t as significant to him anymore. If she held importance in Thiago’s life, he would have acknowledged their relationship earlier on.
