Chapter 104
“Mrs. Wellington asked about you earlier… It seems like she wants to borrow money…”
The company had a quarterly meeting today. There was supposed to be a celebration dinner tonight with other executives, but Dominick didn’t go to the hotel. He went straight back to Wellington Villa.
He thought, ‘Borrow money?”
Dominick’s eyebrows furrowed slightly when he heard Sandra’s words. He thought, ‘Stephanie wants to borrow money from me?’
“Mrs. Wellington said she had an emergency and had the driver take her out about half an hour ago,” Sandra reported truthfully.
Dominick immediately took out his phone and dialed her number, but his expression turned dark when Stephanie didn’t pick up.
Stephanie didn’t answer. She was furiously slamming the car door and running out, too angry to bother with the phone in her bag
“What are you doing here?”
“Molly, I’m here with friends. Why do you care?”
Across the street, a man and a woman were arguing heatedly. With a stern face, Stephanie crossed the street and quickly walked towards them.
“Wade, this place is expensive. You have money to come here, but you make my mom pay for the down payment!” Molly was furious.
Havencrest’s Blossom Club was the original location for Molly’s class reunion. She had to skip the event due to financial issues. Now, she ran into Wade, who was here messing around with a bunch of friends.
Wade looked arrogantly stylish with bright red hair, a black studded leather jacket, and ripped Jeans. He yelled, “Your mom is always crying and making a fuss at home. It’s annoying! I brought some friends out. What’s it to you?”
Molly was gritting her teeth in anger. “Fine, it’s none of my business. Then give back the money for the house down payment! Why did my mom have to pay for your wedding? Give back the 140 thousand dollars!”
Hearing Molly’s demand for money, Wade’s friends were curious and started whispering, “Did Wade use his sister’s money for his wedding?”
“Didn’t Wade say he made a lot of money in the stock market?”
Wade felt humiliated by his friends’ comments, and his face contorted with anger. “That 140 thousand dollars was a gift from your mom! My dad married that terrible woman and even had to take care of you. We’ve spent so much on you two! And now you dare ask for money back? Molly, who do you think you are?”
Standing five feet nine tall and broad-shouldered, Wade glared with bulging eyes, looking intimidating. Molly, scared by his aggression, took a step back.
“But you’re not entirely useless,” Wade said, suddenly changing his tone as he eyed her.
He turned to a short man behind him, “Tom, haven’t you been dealing with online loans recently? Help my sister out…”
Under the streetlight, a man named Tom Fisher, barely five feet two tall, approached them with a sleazy look as he glanced at Molly and then

grinned. “Sure, sure. We’re all friends. I can get her a 20 thousand dollars loan limit.”
“Tom, what are you talking about? My sister might not be a beauty, but she graduated from a university in Aurorastra and worked at a big company. At least get her a 100 thousand dollars limit,” Wade immediately began bargaining,
A group of shady thugs was staring at Molly, and she got nervous right away. “What’s wrong with you guys? What do you want? I’m not taking
out a loan!”
“Shut up” Wade glared at her with a dark face.
“If you don’t take out a loan, how will you pay the money back? Your mom cries at home all day, and I’m sick of it. Do you want to watch her die? If you have any conscience, you should think of a way to help her repay the debt. I’m giving you a solution now, so don’t be ungratefull”
“Are you crazy? It’s all because you took that 140 thousand dollars…”
Before Molly could finish her words, Wade stepped forward aggressively with a grim expression.
“I told you to shut up! When men are talking, why do you interrupt? No manners or discipline!” Wade shoved Molly hard on her back with his strong hands.
Molly stumbled and hit the rough wall on her left, scraping her face and leaving two wounds. The pain made her eyebrows furrow tightly.
“Molly, are you okay?”
Stephanie crossed the street, anxiously running to support her.
The five or six men in front of them stared at Stephanie with lustful eyes. One of them whistled lewdly, “How much for a night?”
“Stephanie.” Molly trembled with a look of grievance and fear. She tightly grabbed Stephanie’s hand, whispering her name, feeling utterly helpless.
Standing five feet six tall in flat shoes, Stephanie squinted her eyes and coldly scanned the group of thugs.
“Get out of here right now, or I’ll call the police!” She supported Molly and threatened coldly.
Wade and his gang laughed even more arrogantly at her words. “Sweetheart, the police are busy catching bad guys. They don’t have time for
little such matters.”
A short man with a buzz cut stared at Stephanie’s chest. “Don’t worry, girl. I’m a good guy. How about I prove it to you tonight…”
Stephanie’s face darkened with anger, and she was about to confront them.
Molly knew her temper but worried about Stephanie getting hurt since they were outnumbered. She anxiously pulled Stephanie, whispering. “Stephanie, let’s go. Let’s go…”
“Where do you think you’re going?”
Wade seemed very interested in Stephanie. He had never known his stepsister knew such a beautiful woman. He took a big step to block
their way.
With a swaggering tone, he said, “What’s your name, miss? You might be misunderstanding me. I’m Molly’s brother. How could I harm her? Molly is a bit short of money lately, so I introduced her to a friend who offers low-interest loans. How about joining us tonight at Blossom

Club? My treat… Wade’s smile grew more triumphant.
“Your treat?”
Stephanie looked up, glaring at his disgusting face. She tightly pressed her lips and then slapped him hard on the face.
“Your treat? I’m afraid you can’t afford it!”
The slap echoed crisply.
Wade’s left cheek swelled red from the slap, and the others were stunned, not expecting her to be so fiery.
“You…you dare hit me…”
Wade’s face darkened, and he gritted his teeth, swinging a fist towards her.
“Stephanie, run…”
Molly screamed in fright, trying to pull Stephanie away.
Stephanie quickly pushed Molly aside. Wade lunged and missed, hitting his fist against the rough wall, bleeding and looking even more ferocious. “You b i t h, I’m going to kill you tonight….”
“Stephanie, watch out… Molly was pushed to the side, anxiously watching as Wade grabbed Stephanie’s hair.
Suddenly, a scream echoed, and Wade’s face contorted in pain.
“What did you just say?”
Stephanie was equally surprised, looking in disbelief at the man beside her. Dominick was gripping Wade’s right arm tightly, his face cold but his grip incredibly strong,
“My…my arm is broken…”
