Chapter Sixty–Five: Spare Him!

Kiara’s POV:

Within a fraction of a second, I felt myself lifted from the ground, my body being drawn into a firm and secure embrace. Kayden, with his tall stature of 6’8” towering over me, held me protectively against his chest. His imposing figure was like a solid wall between Aiden and me, providing an impenetrable barrier.

His gaze bore into mine, an intense blend of cobalt and gold, shimmering with a fierce protectiveness that made my breath hitch. His scent, a unique blend of aged whiskey and musk, hit me, a comforting and intoxicating aroma that immediately soothed my rattled nerves.

“Are you okay, sweetheart?” His voice was a whisper against my hair, a quiet gust of air that sent shivers down my spine.

His tone was laced with deep concern and a hint of a barely controlled rage. With my heart hammering against my chest, I nodded in response, incapable of finding my voice under his intense scrutiny. Hist gaze was like a balm, coating me with a layer of safety and reassurance. that quickly dissipated my fears.

Aiden’s gaze darted to me, holding for a fraction of a second before he quickly averted his eyes. His apology was a mere whisper, a feeble attempt to appease the situation he’d created.

“I’m sorry, Queen Kiara,” Aiden said with clenched teeth

His apology hung heavily in the air, a raw acknowledgement of his transgression. However, it did nothing to dissolve the palpable tension. enveloping us.

With one last menacing glare at Aiden, Kayden pulled me closer. His arms, strong and unyielding, secured me against his chest, his scent enveloping me and calming my racing heart.

As Kayden led me away, I cast a final glance at Aiden. He stood frozen, his figure casting a lonely shadow in the dim corridor. Despite everything, a pang of guilt surged within me, but I forcefully shoved it down. After all, it was Aiden who’d instigated this confrontation.

The door closed with a finality, leaving Aiden in the cold and isolating silence of the corridor. As I leaned into Kayden’s embrace, I couldn’t help but wonder about the complexities of the future that awaited us. However, for now, I found solace in the strong arms of my mates, and that was all I needed.

A tangible silence enveloped the room as the door to our shared

I fell silent, unsure of how to voice my concerns. Aiden’s words echoed in my head, spinning a web of uncertainty that threatened to consume me. The fact that they had been with other women didn’t bother me. What gnawed at me was the possibility of them getting tired of the bond, of me.
