“It was hard choosing amongst you all, probably the most challenging batch of candidates we’ve had in so many years. But as King Kayden had mentioned, regardless if chosen or not, remember you all had made it this far among thousands of applicants, which is an achievement. And with that being said. I would like to announce the recipients of the three–year warrior scholarship. Rex Whittmore, Jacob Smith, Sammy lan, Aiden black… “King Jayden listed out of the name of the male recipients; each name had my already crazy beating heart go crazier, “…and for the female recipients, know this, all female candidates were amazing, and it was very hard choosing two amongst you all, the two female recipients chosen are, Angela Davidson and Kiara Middleton.” Said, King Jayden
“See, I knew it! I failed, I failed. Wait, what…” I stopped mid–rant. when I realized what King Jayden had said.
My head shot in his direction, and I couldn’t help but notice the slight twitch of his and King Kayden’s lips as if they were controlling their laughter at my random outburst. I turned red; uh–oh, I was being. dramatic.
“Well, congratulations to our thirteen recipients, and thank you, everyone else, for your efforts and participation today. There will be a party to thank you all for participating and the recipients in the castle’s. grand hall. We hope to see you all there.” King Kayden said as he and King Jayden turned around and walked back to the castle with beta. Tim and Gamma Chris following behind them; they mouthed congratulation my way and smiled at me.
“You did it. Kiki! You did it. We’ll be doing this together like we always planned. I knew you were going to make it.” Said JJ as he hugged me so tight I was about to die.
“Thanks, JJ, but are you going to kill me before we even get a chance. to take any classes together.” I squeaked out.
“Oh yeah. sorry.” JJ said, letting go of me.
“Congratulation Kiki! I told you, you impressed everyone!” Said Rex ast he came and hugged me too.
“Thank you! Thank you both of you! I can’t believe we’ll be doing this together.” I said, holding both JJ’s and Rex’s hands in my hands.
They both smiled at me, but before they could say anything, I heard mom and Daddy’s voices.
“Well, our princess is not only a scholar, but she is also going to be a warrior. We’re so proud of you, princess.” Said daddy as he bent down. to my level so I could hug him.
Being a daddy’s princess, I jumped right in as he hugged me tight, k*ssing me on my head.
“We are so proud of you, honey! But I’m going to miss you! I thought you’d be coming home after your scholarship, but here you are, staying for another three years.” Said mom as she hugged me while I was still in daddy’s arms.
I couldn’t help but lets some tears fall from my eyes. I had missed my family so much, especially mom and daddy. I thought I would go back as well, but I don’t know how and when I decided to stay for the scholarship. It was always a plan, but I had stopped thinking about it. I only considered it again when Beta Tim and Gamma Chris insisted I should train and apply for it.
“But I understand, honey! I know how much you wanted to do this with Jacob. It’s okay, you get this done and come out on top as you did with your last scholarship, making Crescent Haven even more proud.” Said, mom.
“Damn, Kiki! With the way you are heading, we might just be overthrown as alphas of the pack by you.” Said Phoneix.
I couldn’t help but chuckle and untangle myself from my parent’s arms. and jump into his and my other two brothers‘ arms as they k*ssed my head and congratulated me.
“Now come on, let’s get ready. The former king and queen have invited. us to sit with them during the party; we can’t keep them waiting.” Said Daddy as he grabbed mom’s hand and led her inside.
“Come, little one, how about a redo of that princess’s hair and pretty dress? Just like cinderella.” Said auntie Mcg, whispering the last part
in my car.
I couldn’t help but smile and nod in her direction. I grabbed her hand. and made my way inside my room.
