Just as I was about to promise King Kayden and King Jayden. that I would be the topper of the class by the end of the scholarship, Rex came in and jumped at me. Which had me stumble, and we ended up on the floor in fits of giggles. Just as I was about to say something, snarls left both the kings and both I and Rex stiffened. From the corner of my eyes, I saw they were both furious. Oh-no! Did they think Rex hurt me? Before I could come to Rex’s defence, King Jayden spoke up.
“Are you out of your goddess da*ned mind Rex? What if you hurt her.” Said King Jayden as he quickly pulled Rex off me and helped me up.
He and King Kayden were looking for any injuries. Were these really our kings? Could they not see Rex was just messing with

me, and I literally fell on a carpeted floor! Seeing Rex’s forlorn looks, all the admiration I had for them was gone, and I frowned and stepped away from them. Just as they tried to come closer, I put my hand out.
“You guys didn’t need to be so mean to Rex. He’s my friend, actually my best friend, and he didn’t do anything. We jump like this on one another all the time; you didn’t need to be so rude.” I said
“Well, maybe you guys should stop since it’s not safe. You’re tiny little one; you could get hurt easily, especially with Rex’s strength. It could be an accident, but it wouldn’t be pretty if he hurt you.” Said, King Kayden
As much as I knew he was right, I didn’t feel like the way they approached him was correct. They were kings. They needed to control their emotions and have manners.
“Well, I don’t think so. Rex would never hurt me, and he never uses any
any strength plus, he’s only a year older than me and won’t be getting his wolf till he’s eighteen, which is very far down the line. His strength wouldn’t kick in until his sixteenth birthday either, but I understand what your trying to say, and we’ll be more careful.” I said

wished me luck leaving me with Beta Tim. Rex and I walked towards the library, trailing behind Beta Tim. I had really started liking Beta Tim; he and I had become friends instantly; he was very easy to talk to, and so was Gamma Chris. However, Gamma Chris was actually my favourite between the two, but I would never tell Beta Tim that since he’s always smiling and doing whatever I ask. Just as we reached my classroom door, my heartbeat went crazy. The fear of failing slowly crept into my heart, the fear of disappointing everyone.
“You can do this, Kiki! If anyone can, it’s you! We all believe in you, me, JJ, your family and even my brothers. You’ll make us all proud.” Said Rex as he hugged me.
I nodded into his shoulder, my heartbeat slowing down. He was right! I could do this! I went through so much, and this was something I was good at! Something I’ve dreamt of, I would definitely make everyone proud! Just as Rex let go, Beta Tim got down on one knee and smiled at me as he gave my arm a gentle squeeze.

I nodded, smiling. Taking a deep breath, I turned towards the door but was stopped when I heard Gamma Chris’s voice.

I couldn’t help but let the giggle out as I turned and rushed towards Gamma Chris and hugged him. I always felt like I was with the triplets when I was close to Gamma Chris! He had a very brotherly aura that always calmed me.
“Good luck Kiara! Make us proud!” Said, Gamma Chris
I nodded and promised him before taking another deep breath and walking towards my classroom door. Just before I was about to open it, I turned back and waved toward Beta Tim, Gamma Chris and Rex. They all gave me smiles and a thumbs up before I opened the door and went in.
Always be by my side, moon goddess! I sent out a silent prayer as I faced the class that had seven other students with smiling faces looking at me. All the uneasiness I had dissipated when I saw their welcoming smiles along with the teachers.
“You must be Kiara Middleton. I’m Scholar Andrew; I’ll be your teacher for the next three years. Take a seat; you’re at the first- row middle desk,” Said Professor Andrew, with a small smile.
I smiled and thanked and waved back to some of the students that waved at me. It felt right, like I was always meant to be here. Just as I sat, a pretty girl who reminded me of Anna from Forzon turned to me and said.
