Chapter Twenty-Three: Night Run Part Two

Kiara POV:
The night went on as different alphas and their pack members that came along pleaded their allegiance to king Kayden and King Jayden and then bid goodbye since tomorrow everyone would be leaving to go home. Which meant my family would also be gone. As much as I was happy at the prospect that they wouldn’t be here to have me eat my veggies, it didn’t lessen the sadness that they would be gone and I would be living by myself for the next few years.
“Helix, are you, Phoneix, and Kelix going to visit me? As much as you three annoy me, I will miss you guys.” I said to my brothers
The ceremony and dinner had ended. We were now heading towards the backyard where my family and JJ’s family would be shifting and running with Rex’s family. Rex and JJ had already
gone ahead, they asked me to come along, but I said no. I wanted to spend time with my brothers.
My brothers stopped in their steps, and all three bent down to my level; each gave me a big bear hug and kissed my head.

Their words brought tears to my eyes as I tried hugging all three of them together, which was a major fail, but I tried. I had the best brothers in the world.

I spotted King Kayden and King Jayden’s big black wolves near the wood’s edge. Was it just me, or did they grow massively huge after the ceremony? I knew the anatomy changes when a monarch succeeds the throne, but I hadn’t learned of such drastic changes. It was like three big alpha wolves stacked on one another. Just as I was about to go to them, I heard JJ call me. Turning around, I smiled but then immediately stopped. I was still pissed at him, and Rex for the veggie thing at dinner, not to mention they had cake without me.

“Humph,” I grunted, crossed my arms over my chest, and looked the other way.
“Are you still mad about what happened at dinner?” Asked JJ
I just ignored him, I wanted to go to daddy’s brown wolf to sit on his back for the run, but as much as I was mad at JJ, I didn’t want to hurt him like that.

I nodded eagerly as we both held hands and went toward our parents. JJ mounted his mom’s grey wolf, and even though I was supposed to mount daddy, all I wanted to do was ride on either King Jayden’s or King Kayden’s wolves, even though I was mad at them for making me miss the dessert. But, since the whole ordeal was solved with JJ’s and Rex’s quick thinking, I wasn’t all that mad at them anymore. Maybe if they get me some chocolate later, I’ll consider keeping our friendship.
“Kiki, what’s wrong? Get on the alpha’s back. Everyone is waiting.” I heard JJ say from on top of his mom’s wolf.
Daddy’s wolf had come over and crouched down in front of me so I could get on; Helix was even waiting for me since, with my short height, I needed help. I couldn’t help but look back at the big black wolfs; both were even looking right at me. Would it be wrong if I asked to ride on them? Turning to daddy’s wolf, I asked.
“Daddy, could I ask the kings if I could ride on them,” I said
Daddy’s wolf instantly shook his head. He didn’t even think about it!
“Kiki, you can’t do that.” Said Helix
I huffed and crossed my arms over my chest, glaring at Helix and daddy
my friends. They said they were, and I could ask them ever I wanted.” I said, huffing.
Kiki…” Helix started when we heard a wolf let off a yelp; turning around, I saw King Kayden’s wolf looking at me.

“Your majesty, are you sure? She can be squirmy. We would not want to ha*sle you!” Said Helix.
I was not squirmy! It was just the wolf spine would poke in my girlie area, and it was uncomfortable! King Kayden’s snarled at Helix, which had him bow his head in submission. Ha! See, I told you they were my friends and would listen if I wanted something. But I still felt bad at what King Kayden did to Helix. That wasn’t nice and not king-like. I really needed to show him and King Jayden all the Disney movies so they could learn some manners from all the kings in them.
King Kayden’s wolf beckoned me again to climb on. Looking at Helix and asking to help, he sighed and shook his head but

Once I was seated on King Kayden’s back. This funny, warm feeling went through my hands that had me giggle. The kings had a lot of static in them! Helix urged me to hold on tight. Once King Kayden thought I was secure enough, he howled alongside King Jayden, and they sprinted into the woods with everyone following behind us.
I couldn’t help but giggle as the air hit my face. Maybe I could ask King Jayden to let me climb on his back midway. I didn’t want to make him feel left out. After all, we were all friends.
